Fantastic family holiday staying at my aunty's villa. Lots of sun, swimming and fun making memories. Heres a few of our holiday snaps and a link to our holiday photo book
Hospital admission
Unfortunately on arrival back to the uk Maya became very unwell with a suspected Shunt malfunction. She started crying with severe headaches then projectile vomiting and sleeping a lot before repeating the cycle. She became very floppy, pale and sunken eyes which she could barely keep open and had siezures. Due to the vomiting she passed her ng tube that we use for medicines and fluids and she deteriated rapidly. We tooke her straight to Peterborough hospital where the fantastic team of nurses and doctors did an amazing job. Her CT scan was clear and her shunt looked t obe working fine. They ran lots of further tests and her bloods revealed sepsis from a UTI/kidney infection, severe dehydration and severe anaemia. They canulated her and gave her lots of medication and fluids to try and stabilise her. After a few very rough days Maya was back smiling again and here she is playing in the hospital garden enjoying some sunshine.
I believe in as many as 6 impossible things before breakfast....
1. Standing with sticks
2. Swimming in the sea
3. Writing my name
4. Seeing the world
5. Learning to swim
6. Keep dreaming the seemingly impossible
